Why Is My Company Not Compliant in Hawaiʻi Compliance Express?
The Hawaiʻi Compliance Express service includes real time monitoring of your status of compliance with multiple agencies. If at any time your status is changed to not compliant, typically you will need to contact the respective agency directly to resolve the issue. Once completed, your Hawaiʻi Compliance Express account will be updated on the website within 24 hours.
Before contacting the agency, please ensure the following:
- Make sure you have completed all renewals required by the system. Renewals will show clearly in red upon logging in (if required at that time). You will also receive email notification when it is time to renew.
- If your non-compliancy issue is with the IRS, please make sure the 8821 authorization form has been mailed or faxed to the IRS, with the appropriate signature. This form is automatically generated for you for all new registrations or during certain renewals (if prompted). Your status cannot be processed online by the IRS until this is received.
When contacting the agency for assistance, it is also important that you mention you are using the online Hawaiʻi Compliance Express system, so they can process accordingly.
