How Do I Request a Refund For a Camping Permit?

Please note this answer only applies to permits purchased online at:  https://camping.ehawaii.gov/

Requests for a refund must be submitted at least 15 days before the check-in date on the permit. There is a $5.00 cancellation fee as well as a 10% processing fee to cancel a permit.

If your permit check-in date is within less than 15 days, please contact Hawaii State Parks office directly at (808) 587-0300. 

If your permit check-in date is greater than fifteen days in advance, please complete the following steps:

1. Go to camping.ehawaii.gov;
2. Log in;
3. Click on 'My Reservations';
4. Click on the request a refund button. 

If the permit was purchased  within the last 45 days, then you will see the refund on your next credit card statement.  If the permit was purchased outside of 45 days ago, then you will receive a fiscal check in 4-6 weeks.
