How Do I File the Form BB-1?

 

There are many ways to file the Basic Business Application (BB-1) form:

  1. File it electronically online using Hawai‘i Business Express. Hawai‘i Business Express is a quick and easy way to start a business in the state of Hawaii. One simple interface covers all the forms with all the state agencies and partners.
  2. Download the form in PDF format and submit with the one-time $20 license fee. The mailing address and instructions are located on the form.
  3.  Visit the Business Action Center to apply for a general excise license, located at 1130 N. Nimitz Highway, Suite A-220. Office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays (except State holidays); telephone number is (808) 586-2545.
